Education is the basic right of every child, irrespective of his/her social, economic or geographical background. But even today there are many deprived girls in our society who are unable to go to school due to lack of resources, social restrictions and poverty. In such a situation, the new school started by RSKS India has emerged as a new ray of hope for those girls who have not been able to get the opportunity of education till now.
The objective of this school is to connect those poor, deprived and backward class girls with education who could not go to school due to some reason. Many girls get involved in household chores, while the parents of many girls do not consider it necessary to educate them. In such a situation, this initiative opens a new door for all those girls who want to improve their lives and become self-reliant.
Local community, parents, social workers and volunteers attended the inauguration ceremony of the school organized by RSKS India in large numbers. The glow on the faces of the girls was worth seeing when they were provided with bags, books, pens-pencils and uniforms through a simple but dignified program.
A safe, inspiring and encouraging environment has been created for the girls, where they will not only learn to read but also gain information on topics like life skills, health, hygiene and self-defense.
The message from this initiative is clear that society is now understanding the importance of girl education. When a girl studies, she will make the future of not only herself but the entire family and society better. This school will give them the courage to dream, think and fulfill them.
The girls who got admission in the school are very excited and grateful. A 10-year-old girl said, “Now I will also get a chance to go to school. I want to become a teacher when I grow up.” Such reactions are proof of the success of this initiative.
This school started by RSKS India is not just an education center but a symbol of hope, equality and self-reliance. This initiative proves that with the right direction and efforts, the future of any girl can be changed.
It is the responsibility of all of us to support such initiatives and cooperate in providing the right to education to every child in the society. Because when a girl is educated, the entire society progresses.
