Operated by RSKS India, the “Advanced Garment Making Vocational Education School Training” program is proving to be a significant initiative aimed at making women self-reliant and economically empowered. The primary objective of this training program is to connect women with opportunities for employment and self-employment by imparting modern skills in stitching and garment manufacturing, thereby enabling them to carve out a dignified identity within their families and society.

In today’s times, it is absolutely essential for women to be economically strong. Driven by this philosophy, RSKS India is providing vocational training to rural and underprivileged women. Through this training, women receive instruction in sewing machine operation, fabric cutting, designing, finishing, and modern garment manufacturing techniques. During the course of the training, women are taught not only through practical exercises but also receive instruction on quality standards and time management.

A distinctive feature of this program is that women are not confined merely to stitching tasks; rather, they are also instilled with self-confidence, leadership skills, and the inspiration to launch small-scale business ventures. Upon completing the training, many women are establishing their own stitching businesses, which is leading to an increase in their income and strengthening their families’ economic stability.

Women participating in the training have shared that this initiative has brought about positive changes in their lives. While they were previously confined solely to domestic chores, they are now becoming self-reliant by leveraging their skills. Many women are manufacturing school uniforms, women’s apparel, bags, and other textile products, which they then sell in local markets. This has also fostered a heightened sense of self-respect and self-confidence among them.

This endeavor by RSKS India stands as an inspiring example of women’s empowerment. The organization firmly believes that when women become educated and self-reliant, the entire society moves forward on the path of development. It is for this very reason that the organization consistently promotes skill development and employment-oriented training programs for women.

This training program is not only providing women with employment opportunities but is also offering them the chance to establish a distinct identity for themselves within society. In the times to come, this initiative will serve as a medium to transform the lives of even more women and inspire them to play an active role in building an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India).
