Dear Reader Namaste!

Many Greetings from RSKS India….

Children living in slums and on the streets, surrounded by poverty, inequality, and a lack of resources, often face a childhood of deprivation. These children are unable to receive a proper education, nor are they able to develop proper values and values. Keeping this in mind, Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) organized a “Discipline and Values Camp” for children from slums and areas. The camp aimed to develop moral values, discipline, self-confidence, and a sense of social responsibility in them.

The camp began with a welcome and introduction session. The instructors created a conversational atmosphere by asking simple questions. Following this, the children were explained in detail about the meaning of discipline, its importance, and its role in life. They were told that discipline is the first step to success—whether it’s studying in school, respecting elders at home, or behaving appropriately in society.

Through stories, games, and role-plays, children were taught how waking up on time, studying, maintaining cleanliness, and working honestly enhance our personality. Slogans like “Cleanliness is Service” inspired children to develop hygienic habits.

The next session of the camp focused on the importance of values. The instructors taught children to respect their parents, help others, avoid lying, seek blessings from elders, and embrace patriotism.

In the storytelling session, children listened to inspirational stories like “Satyawadi Harishchandra,” “The Ideals of Shri Ram,” and “Mahatma Gandhi,” which inspired them to embrace values like truthfulness, compassion, and non-violence.

In addition, children were involved in group activities where they performed plays on topics like “How to Be a True Friend,” “What is Teamwork,” and “How to Avoid Bad Habits.” This fostered self-confidence and leadership skills.

Along with instilling discipline and values, the camp also encouraged children’s creative talents. Children expressed their thoughts through painting, poetry recitation, yoga exercises, and group songs. During the yoga session, they were taught that physical and mental discipline is the foundation of true strength.

The volunteers participating in the camp also conducted a cleanliness drive with the children, in which they cleaned the surrounding area to convey the message that good values flourish only in a clean environment.

At the camp’s conclusion, certificates and small inspirational booklets were distributed to all children. At the end of the program, the children took the pledge, “We are good, cultured children.” The smiles on their faces and the sparkle in their eyes proved that the camp had brought a new direction to their lives.

Parents and the local community also appreciated RSKS India’s efforts, stating that such programs play an important role in shaping the future of society.

RSKS India’s “Discipline and Sanskaar Camp” not only became a powerful medium for children’s personality development, but also sent a message to society that values and discipline are just as important as education. For these slum and street children, this camp brought new inspiration, self-confidence, and a path to a bright future. Only disciplined children with values can become responsible citizens of tomorrow—and this effort by RSKS India is a commendable step in that direction.
