From Struggle to Strength….

Dear Friends Namaste !

Story of Kamla….

My name is Kamla, and I live in a small village surrounded by hills and fields. Life used to be very tough for me and my three children after my husband passed away five years ago. As a widow, I struggled to make ends meet. We barely had enough to eat, and sending my children to school seemed like an impossible dream. I felt helpless and defeated, but then Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan came into my life and changed everything.

One day, I heard about RSKS India’s Empowering Women with Sustainable Livelihood project through some women in my village. They encouraged me to join the Women Self-Help Group. At first, I was nervous because I had no experience running a business, but the RSKS team assured me that they would guide me. They offered me a microloan and training to start goat farming.

With the loan, I bought two goats and built a small shelter for them. The RSKS team trained me on everything I needed to know—feeding, breeding, and even how to take care of their health. Slowly, my goats started multiplying, and within a year, I had six goats. I began selling goat milk in the village, and soon, I started earning a regular income.

Now, I have a herd of twelve goats, and my income has increased significantly. This has allowed me to send my children back to school and even save a little for emergencies. My life has completely changed. I am no longer dependent on others, and I feel confident in my ability to provide for my family.

The support from RSKS India didn’t just give me financial help; it gave me a sense of purpose and the strength to face life’s challenges. Today, when I look at my children and see them happy and studying, I feel a sense of pride. I am deeply grateful to RSKS India for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. They have truly transformed my life, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
