Relief and Dignity to Needy Families….

Dear Friends Namaste !

My name is Ruchi, and I am 32 years old. I live in a small village with my husband and two young children. Life here is tough, especially for families like ours. My husband works as a daily wage laborer, but the work is not consistent. Some days he gets called to work, and other days we have no income at all. We’ve always struggled to make ends meet, but things became even worse during difficult times like the pandemic or when there’s no work in the fields.

We often had to skip meals or eat very little just to make sure our children didn’t go hungry. It was heartbreaking, and I constantly worried about how to feed my family. That’s when Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan stepped in and changed our lives. RSKS India started a program called “Ration Distribution to Needy Families,” and our family was one of the many identified for support. I remember the day the team visited our home for a survey. They were kind and genuinely concerned about our situation. A few days later, we were invited to collect a ration kit.

The kit included essential items like rice, wheat flour, lentils, sugar, oil, and even spices. It also had some hygiene items like soap and sanitary napkins etc, which were a blessing because we couldn’t afford them most of the time. The distribution was organized and respectful, and I didn’t feel ashamed or judged for seeking help. For the first time in months, I could cook a full meal without worrying about running out of supplies. My children were happy, and I could see the relief on my husband’s face. It was not just about the food—it was about feeling that someone cared for us and understood our struggles.

The team from RSKS India also talked to us about managing resources wisely and shared tips on maintaining hygiene, especially during challenging times. They even followed up with us later to ask for feedback and ensure we were doing okay. This program gave us hope and dignity when we needed it the most. It reminded me that even in the hardest times, there are people and organizations willing to lend a helping hand. I am deeply thankful to RSKS India for their support. Because of them, my family could get through a very difficult period with our heads held high. Their kindness will always stay in my heart.
