Meet with Hema……!!

My name is Hema (Name Changed) and I live in a small village near the city. I am 29 years old. I had faced many financial problems when I was not married and after getting married my financial problems were not solved. My husband worked as a daily wages labour in a small factory near our village. We started facing many problems as my husband was also sitting at home unemployed. I have two children. we didn’t had any savings.

In this harsh time, Free Advanced Garment Making training was conducted in my own village by RSKS Organization. After hearing this, there was no place for my happiness. I immediately applied for this training. I took this training regularly for two months and took all the lessons very carefully and also practiced them at my home. During this training, I learned cutting, measuring and sewing of items like lehenga, salwar suit, kurti, blouse, rajputi dress, etc. The training was practical as well as theoretical in which I successfully learned the garment making course. During training, I also received capacity building, life skills, EDP training which increased my confidence.

The training was very beneficial to me as I started working at home and kept practicing and after the training was over, through the EDP training given to me by RSKS Team members, I took an initiative to open my own boutique where I made garments on orders which helped me a lot. Now I am getting orders of many dresses from my nearby villages from which I am earning sufficient. Now I have become self reliant and my husband has also started to find new jobs. Now, my children are able to get proper education.
