Dear Reader Namaste!
Many Greetings from RSKS India….
The “Swachh Bharat Program” (Clean India Program) was organized at the Laado Balika Center, operated by RSKS India, where rural girls participated with great enthusiasm. The primary objective of this program was to raise awareness among the girls regarding the importance of cleanliness and to inspire them to keep their homes, villages, communities, and the nation clean and green.
During the program, the girls were taught that cleanliness is not merely a habit, but the very foundation of a healthy life. It was emphasized that if our environment remains clean, we can prevent numerous diseases and build a healthy society. The girls were provided with simple and practical information regarding personal hygiene, household cleanliness, water conservation, and waste management.
The RSKS India team also explained to the girls how essential the conservation of flora and extensive tree-planting are for maintaining a green environment. During the event, the girls chanted slogans related to cleanliness and pledged to carry forward the mission of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign).
On this occasion, the girls also demonstrated active participation in cleaning activities. They cleaned their immediate surroundings, conveying the message that even small efforts can bring about significant change. The girls also realized that cleanliness is not merely a personal responsibility, but also a social duty.
Addressing the gathering, the teachers motivated the girls by stating that if every individual were to make cleanliness a habit, the problems of disease and filth in society could be significantly reduced. The girls took this message to heart and resolved to incorporate cleanliness into their daily lives.
This program, organized by RSKS India, served not only as a medium for raising awareness but was also successful in bringing about positive behavioral changes among the girls. At the conclusion of the program, all the girls collectively proclaimed the message: “Clean India, Healthy India.”
This initiative proved to be a significant step towards fostering awareness regarding cleanliness among rural girls and empowering them to become responsible citizens.
