Dear Reader Namaste !

Many Greetings from RSKS India….

Holi is not merely a festival of colors; it is also a beautiful opportunity to share joy, brotherhood, and a sense of belonging. Embodying this spirit, RSKS India celebrated Holi with great fanfare and enthusiasm alongside children living in streets, slums, and shanty towns. This event was not only vibrant with colors but also overflowing with happiness and smiles.

During this special program, colors, water guns (pichkaris), gulal (colored powder), and sweets were distributed to the children. For children for whom festivals often pass by just like any ordinary day, this initiative felt like a dream come true. As they played with colorful water guns and gulal, the children’s faces lit up with joy, creating an atmosphere of laughter and festivity all around.

The objective of this Holi celebration was not merely to observe the festival, but to extend happiness to those sections of society that often remain on the fringes of the mainstream. As these children were seen laughing and frolicking together while playing with colors, it became evident just how profound a change such small efforts can bring to their lives.

During the event, volunteers also joined the children in playing Holi, fostering a sense of belonging and dignity among the children. This was not merely a distribution of material goods; it was an emotional connection that carved a special place in the children’s hearts. Such events boost the children’s self-confidence and make them realize that they, too, are an integral part of society.

The distribution of sweets added an extra layer of sweetness to the festivities. The children not only played with colors but also savored delicious sweets. It turned out to be a memorable day for them—one they will cherish for a long time to come.

Ultimately, this initiative by RSKS India teaches us that the true joy of festivals lies in sharing them with others—especially with those who need it the most. Such endeavors foster equality, love, and unity within society.
