Flood is a natural disaster that not only affects the lives of people, but it proves to be even more devastating especially for the poor and slum-dwelling families. In such a sensitive time, RSKS India took an important and commendable step when they worked to provide relief to the poor children of flood-affected slum areas.

It is often seen that when floods occur, the families of slum areas neither have concrete houses, nor the necessary resources to protect their children. During the rains, it becomes difficult for children to go to school, and they also fall prey to diseases many times. Understanding this challenge, RSKS India distributed umbrellas to these children, so that they can avoid rain and do not face inconvenience in their daily activities.

Under this program, hundreds of children were given individual umbrellas, which will not only protect them from the rain but also give them a sense of self-esteem and security. These umbrellas are not just an ordinary object for them, but a reliable companion to support them in difficult situations.

During the distribution, the RSKS team also informed the children and their parents about flood prevention measures, importance of hygiene and precautions to avoid illness. The participation of local volunteers and community members was also noteworthy in the program, who helped in carrying out the distribution work smoothly.

The aim of this initiative was not only to give umbrellas, but to bring a smile on the faces of children in this difficult time of floods, make them feel safe and inspire them to give priority to education and health. It may be a small effort, but its impact is long-term and deep.

This action of RSKS India gives a positive message to the society that if we move forward with sensitivity, any disaster can be made an opportunity to serve humanity. Such initiatives not only provide immediate relief but also teach lessons of sensitivity, cooperation and social responsibility to future generations.
