Namaste Everyone !
My name is Satish, and I am 31 years old, living in a small village in Rajasthan. I had heard a lot about the work of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan before, but I never fully understood how impactful their efforts were until I saw them firsthand during the International Pushkar Fair 2024. When I visited the fair, I was amazed to see how RSKS India was raising awareness about stopping violence against women. The most striking part for me was the Camel Cart Awareness campaign. I had seen camel carts many times in my village, but seeing them decorated with messages calling for the end of violence against women was powerful. As the carts moved through the fair, I noticed that people from all backgrounds and walks of life were paying attention. It was a unique and effective way to spread the message, and I felt proud to see my culture being used for such a good cause.
I also joined the Signature Campaign, where I signed the petition in support of women’s rights. It felt important to be part of something bigger than myself, especially when I saw how many others were also signing. I realized that this wasn’t just about the women in our community—it was about standing up for all women everywhere. Another initiative that I found impressive was the “My Selfie” campaign. I watched as people took selfies with anti-violence slogans and shared them on social media. It made me realize that even small actions could spread the message far and wide.
Lastly, I saw the one-on-one consultations, where women shared their personal stories with RSKS team members. It was heartening to see these women receiving the support and guidance they needed. It made me realize that this project was not only raising awareness but also making a real difference in people’s lives. I’m grateful to have witnessed these efforts, and I believe that RSKS India’s work is truly making our community safer and more supportive for women.
