A Bag Full of Dreams: Transforming Lives Through Education !!!

Namaste Everyone !

My name is Kamla, and I am a homemaker living in a small village. My husband works as a daily wage laborer, and together we try to make ends meet for our family of six. My 13-year-old daughter, Radha, is in school, but her education has not been easy. Radha is a hardworking and intelligent girl who loves to study. But due to our financial struggles, we couldn’t provide her with the necessary school supplies. She often used old, leftover notebooks, borrowed pens, and carried her books in a plastic bag. It hurt me deeply to see her go through this, but there was little we could do. Gradually, she became irregular at school.

A few months ago, a team from RSKS India visited our village. They were going door-to-door, speaking to families about their children’s education. When they came to our house, we explained Radha’s situation to them. They assured us they would help, and soon after, Radha was selected for their Education For Every Rural Girl project. Radha received a school bag filled with all the materials she needed: registers, pencils, pens, colours, a geometry box, and even sketchbooks. She was overjoyed! I still remember the big smile on her face when she opened her bag. She proudly carried it to school the next day, and since then, she hasn’t missed a single day.

The RSKS team came to our home later to ask for feedback. My husband and I thanked them sincerely. I told them how Radha’s confidence had grown and how she now talks about her lessons with excitement. This support has been a blessing for our family. It has not only given Radha the chance to study but has also given us hope for a brighter future. I am so thankful to RSKS for their incredible work.
