Dear Friends Namaste !
My name is Suman, and I live in a small village in Rajasthan. My family has always struggled to make ends meet. My husband works as a daily wage laborer, and I try to contribute by managing our small piece of land, but the income was never enough. Feeding our three children was difficult, and providing them with nutritious food seemed like a far-fetched dream. One day, I heard about the “Plant Grafted Fruit Trees for Marginalized Families Program” by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India). Their team visited our village, conducting surveys and meeting families like ours who needed support. When they selected us for the program, I felt a glimmer of hope.
The RSKS team explained the program to me in detail. They told us that we would receive grafted fruit trees, including lemon, mango, pomegranate, guava, chikoo, jamun, and myrobalan. They also gave us organic manure to ensure the trees grew well. This wasn’t just about planting trees; it was about building a future. When the RSKS team came to distribute the trees, they patiently taught us how to plant and care for them. I never knew how much attention trees needed—proper spacing, watering schedules, and even how to use organic manure effectively. Over the next few weeks, I followed their guidance closely, watering the saplings daily and ensuring they were protected from animals.
Within months, the trees started showing signs of growth, and I felt a sense of pride. For the first time, I believed I was contributing to something that could change my family’s life. The RSKS team didn’t just stop with the distribution; they continued to visit us, guiding and encouraging us. Today, our trees are flourishing. The mango and guava trees have started bearing fruit, and my children eagerly wait to eat the fresh, juicy fruits. Knowing they are getting nutritious food straight from our land fills me with happiness. My husband and I have also started selling some of the produce in the local market, earning extra income to buy school supplies and better food for our children. This program has transformed our lives. We now have a sustainable source of income and better food security. My family is healthier, and I feel empowered as a mother and a farmer. I cannot thank RSKS India enough for giving us this opportunity. They didn’t just give us trees; they gave us hope for a better future.
“Very inspiring initiative promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility through fruit tree plantations. Eco-conscious projects like Ardini’s managed farmland near Bangalore also encourage green living, natural farming, and long-term environmental awareness.”
