Mohini’s Journey: From Struggle to Success !!!

Dear Friends Namaste !

Mohini’s Story….

My name is Mohini, and I am 16 years old. I live in a small village with my family. My father works as a labourer, and my mother is a housewife. We are a big family, so money is always tight. Buying school supplies was never a priority, and without proper materials, I often missed school. I felt ashamed when my friends had notebooks and pens, but I didn’t. I wanted to study and do well, but it felt like a distant dream.

One day, RSKS India team came to our village. They were doing a survey and came to our house. They spoke to my parents and me about the difficulties we faced. I told them how I wanted to study but couldn’t because of the lack of supplies. A few weeks later, I was selected for their Education For Every Rural Girl project. They gave me a school bag filled with everything I needed: registers, pens, pencils, colours, a geometry box, and drawing and sketch books. I couldn’t believe it—it was like a gift I had always wanted!

Now, I attend school every day. I love using my new supplies in class, and I feel proud to carry my school bag. My teachers have noticed my improvement, and I even enjoy drawing and colouring in my free time. The RSKS team later came to our house to take feedback. My parents thanked them and shared how much their help had eased our struggles. I also expressed my gratitude and shared how excited I was to study. Thanks to RSKS, I feel hopeful about my future. I know education will help me achieve my dreams, and I’m so thankful for their support.
