Story of Hope and Determination !!!

Dear Friends Namaste !

A Story From the Ground….

My name is Kanta, and I am 13 years old. I live with my parents and three siblings in a small rural village. My father works as a daily wage labourer, and my mother does household chores and small farming tasks. With so many mouths to feed, buying school supplies was never possible. I loved going to school, but without notebooks, pens, or a proper bag, it was hard. My classmates had everything, and I felt left out. I used to miss school often because of this, and my teachers noticed. I wanted to study, but it felt impossible.

One day, RSKS team came to our village. They visited every house, including ours, and spoke to my parents and me about my education. I told them how I struggled without proper school supplies. Soon after, I was selected for their Education For Every Rural Girl project. They gave me a beautiful school bag filled with all the things I needed: registers, pencils, pens, colours, a geometry box, drawing books, and a sketchbook. I was so happy—it felt like a festival for me!

Now, I go to school every day. I feel confident and no longer worry about borrowing things from my classmates. My teachers are proud of my progress, and I even enjoy art lessons with my new drawing supplies. When the RSKS team visited our home later, my parents and I thanked them for their generous support. My parents shared how this had lifted a huge burden from their shoulders, and I shared how much I loved studying now. Thanks to RSKS, I can dream of a better future. I feel proud to be regular at school, and I’m determined to make my family proud.
