Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) organized the “Support to Poor Girl for Her Auspicious Wedding” program to assist marginalized families in preparing for their daughters’ weddings. The program aimed to reduce the financial burden on these families and ensure that the bride-to-be has the basic necessities to start her married life comfortably. The RSKS team first conducted a baseline survey at the girl’s house, assessing her family’s economic situation and identifying specific needs. This visit allowed the team to understand what resources would be most beneficial for her and her new household.
Before the wedding, the RSKS team visited the girl’s home again, this time bearing a variety of useful gifts. These included essential items such as home appliances, utensils, blankets, clothing, and other daily-use materials that would help the girl set up her new home. The village officials and the girl’s neighbors were invited to the ceremony, ensuring full transparency and community involvement. This gathering not only offered support but also allowed the community to come together to give their blessings to the bride.
