My name is Jyoti, and I am 15 years old. My life has not been an easy one, but I’ve learned to be strong and keep going, no matter what. I lost my father when I was just an infant, so I never really got to know him. Since then, it’s just been my mother and me. My mother is the strongest person I know. She has been working as a cleaner in people’s houses for as long as I can remember, doing whatever she can to provide for us. Growing up, I watched my mother work tirelessly day after day. She never complained, but I knew it wasn’t easy for her. She wanted to give me everything, but there were times when we struggled to make ends meet. I knew that she worried about my education more than anything else. She always told me that education was the key to a better life, that it was the only way I could have the opportunities she never had.

Then, something amazing happened. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) came to my life with a program that would change everything for me. They organized a Books and Education Stuff Distribution program, and when I heard about it, I felt a spark of hope. I couldn’t believe that someone was coming to help students like me, students who wanted to learn but didn’t have the resources. When the day of the distribution arrived, I was both excited and nervous. The RSKS India team set up a small event at our school, and they called the students forward one by one. When it was my turn, I walked up and received a school bag filled with all the materials I needed—school books, pens, pencils, notebooks, a geometry box, a scale, drawing books, and even a color set. I couldn’t believe my eyes. For the first time, I had everything I needed to focus on my studies without worrying about where my next notebook would come from.

The support from RSKS India didn’t just stop with the supplies. The team also talked to us about the importance of education, reminding us that no matter our circumstances, education was our path to a better future. I took their words to heart, and I knew that I had to make the most of this opportunity. With the new supplies, I felt a renewed sense of motivation. I could finally keep up with my lessons, complete my homework on time, and even enjoy subjects like drawing that I hadn’t been able to fully participate in before. My confidence grew, and my grades improved. I could see the pride in my mother’s eyes when I showed her my work, and that made all the hard times worth it. I am so grateful to RSKS India for their kindness and support.
