Dear Friends Namaste!
My name is Ramsukh, and I am a 40-year-old man living in a rural village with my family. I work as a marginal farmer, cultivating the land I own to support my loved ones. Farming has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It is a challenging but rewarding profession, one that I take great pride in. However, being a marginal farmer in our region comes with its own set of difficulties. One of the main challenges I face is the lack of financial resources to invest in my land. I often struggle to afford quality seeds, fertilizers, and other essential farming materials. This lack of investment can impact my crop yields and, in turn, my family’s livelihood.
Fortunately, my situation took a turn for the better when Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) came to our village with their Fertilizer, Seeds & Farming Material Distribution Program for Better Agricultural Livelihood to Marginal Farmers. I was selected to receive an Agriculture Livelihood Kit, which included 10 kg of fertilizer manure, and seed packets of various crops like millet, peanut, and moong.
When I received the kit, I was overjoyed and grateful. It was exactly what I needed to give my land a boost and improve my crops. The fertilizer manure would nourish my soil, helping my plants grow strong and healthy. The diverse seed packets allowed me to plant different crops, giving me the opportunity to increase my yield and diversify my income.
I wasted no time putting the new materials to good use. I carefully prepared my fields and sowed the seeds according to the recommendations provided by RSKS. As the weeks passed, I watched with pride as my crops began to grow and thrive. It was a sight that brought me immense satisfaction, knowing that my hard work was paying off. The support from RSKS did not only benefit my farming; it also had a positive impact on my family’s overall well-being. With better crop yields, I was able to provide for my family more effectively and improve our quality of life. We could afford more nutritious food, and I even managed to save a little money for emergencies.
