Dear Friends Namaste!
My name is Ganga, and I am 62 years old. I live in a rural village in Ajmer, surrounded by the beautiful countryside. Life here has its own pace, and despite the challenges, I have always found solace in the peacefulness of my surroundings. My children moved to the city some years ago, leaving me to live on my own. Though I miss them dearly, I understand they had to leave to find better opportunities. My neighbors have been a source of great comfort to me since my children left. They bring me food and other essentials, and in return, I give them my old age pension. It’s a small way of helping each other, and I’m grateful for their kindness and generosity. In this village, we look out for one another, especially during difficult times.
However, one of the toughest challenges I face is the harsh winter season. The cold weather can be brutal, and I often find it difficult to stay warm. My resources are limited, and I don’t have much to protect myself from the freezing temperatures. This year, the winter felt even colder than usual, and I worried about how I would manage.
One day, my worries were eased when Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS) came to our village with their Warm Blanket Distribution Program for the elderly. When they handed me a warm blanket, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The blanket was soft and thick, perfect for keeping me warm during the chilly nights. I couldn’t thank the RSKS team enough for their thoughtful gesture. The blanket has been a true blessing, allowing me to sleep comfortably and without fear of the cold. It has made such a difference in my life, and I am deeply grateful for their kindness.
With the warm blanket, I am able to stay cozy and healthy during the winter months. It gives me peace of mind, knowing that I am better protected from the cold. I appreciate the effort RSKS puts into helping the elderly in our village. Their commitment to caring for us means so much. The work that RSKS does is truly noble, and it brings warmth and comfort to those in need. Their generosity has not only helped me, but many others in our community. I hope they continue their programs and continue to spread kindness wherever they go.
