Dear Friends Namaste!
My name is Afsana, and I’m 29 years old. I live in Ajmer with my husband and our three children. Life here isn’t easy; we work hard to make ends meet. My husband works as a daily wage laborer, and I also work as a laborer whenever I can find the opportunity. We’ve faced many challenges, but nothing could have prepared us for the difficult time that was about to come.
Our life took a sharp turn when I was diagnosed with tuberculosis. The news was devastating, not just for me, but for my entire family. The disease took a toll on my health, and the financial burden it brought was overwhelming. My husband and I barely had enough money to feed our children and ourselves, let alone afford the healthy, nutritious food required for my recovery. We felt trapped, not knowing how we would overcome this challenge.
Thankfully, our story took a hopeful turn when we learned about the support provided by the Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India). The organization extended a helping hand to me during my stay at the TB hospital. They provided me with healthy, nutritious food, including black gram, oats, eggs, pulses, and other essential materials that would help speed up my recovery.
The nutritious food made a significant difference in my health. I started to regain my strength and felt more energetic. My recovery process accelerated, and I could focus on getting better without worrying about how to afford the food I needed. My husband and I were deeply moved by the kindness and generosity of RSKS India. Their support did not just help me physically; it lifted a tremendous burden from our shoulders. Knowing that my family could rely on the nutritious food provided by RSKS India gave us hope and a sense of security during a challenging time. My children, too, were grateful for the care and support I was receiving, as they knew it meant their mother would soon be back to her healthy self.
