Trees and plants must be protected by everyone living on this earth planet as they not only provides shade, fruits, vegetables to us they also provide a living environment to us. They must be protected to ensure a better future for the next generation and a living environment to them. Environment conservation must be told at the schools and the students must adopt plants from their childhood so that they could be familiar with the trees and would always stand towards the protection of the trees and plants. This is necessary as the problem which we are facing nowadays like climate change, global warming, forest fire etc would be reduced and then there would be no problem like this if everyone would start planting trees.

In this context, RSKS India organized Adopt A Tree, Save Environment & Earth program at a rural school. In this program, 40 big fruitful and shady trees were planted in the school premises in which the teachers, students and RSKS team were involved during the plantation work. More than 100 school children were involved in this program through different means like someone was digging holes, someone was bringing sand, someone was watering the plants etc. These school students were told the importance of planting trees for the environment and their future. These children were taught through the help of flipcharts, story-telling, cards etc. The RSKS team ensured that the participating children must know about the reason behind this plantation and bring a change in these children’s life.

Through this program, 40 fruitful and shady trees were planted at the school premises which will provide shade and fruits to the children coming at school for many years. These fruitful and shady trees would be resemblance of the plantation work done by the 100 students of the school and through this many other school children would also motivated to plant trees. The message of adopting trees and planting trees was understood by these children as they all took oath to take care of these trees by watering them and protecting them. These children would follow this practice at their home also which means the message of adopting trees and environment conservation would be spread to thousands of more people.
