    Many Greetings from RSKS India….

The Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan launched a special initiative to protect children living in urban slums, streets, and shantytowns from the harsh winter cold. Under this program, warm tracksuits were distributed to the children to ensure their safety and protect them from health problems during the severe winter months. Children living in urban and marginalized areas often lack adequate resources to cope with the cold, making this initiative a source of relief and joy for them.

During the program, the children were also educated on simple ways to maintain their health during the winter. They were taught the importance of wearing appropriate clothing, maintaining proper nutrition, and practicing good hygiene. The trainers and volunteers distributed the tracksuits, paying special attention to the children’s care and safety. The children’s faces lit up with smiles and happiness as they received and wore the tracksuits.

This initiative was not limited to physical protection alone; it also boosted the children’s morale and self-confidence. For children living in slums and shantytowns, this experience demonstrated that society and organizations are actively working for their well-being and are attentive to their needs. Such programs make children feel that they are an important part of society and that their happiness and safety matter.

The Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan’s effort reflects its sensitivity towards the health and well-being of children. Such programs during the winter months strengthen children’s immunity and help prevent serious illnesses. Furthermore, this initiative served as a means of spreading awareness in the community and sensitizing people to the importance of protecting children.

Overall, the tracksuit distribution program for children living in slums, streets, and shantytowns is an inspiring initiative. It has brought happiness, security, and improved health to the children’s lives. Such programs send a positive message not only to the children but to the entire society: every child is important, and it is our responsibility to take steps for their well-being. Dear Reader Namaste!

    Many Greetings from RSKS India….

The ” Equal Rights Program” was organized at the Lado Girls’ Center, run by the Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan with the main theme of gender equality. The objective of this program was to create awareness among girls about equal rights, boost their self-confidence, and make them aware of the gender discrimination prevalent in society. Even today, in many parts of society, girls do not receive equal opportunities and rights. In this context, this program proved to be a positive and inspiring initiative for the girls.

During the program, the girls were explained in simple and easy-to-understand language that both boys and girls are equal and that both have equal rights to education, health, safety, and respect. The trainers provided information about the right to equality enshrined in the Constitution, children’s rights, and laws related to women. Examples of discrimination in daily life were also discussed so that the girls could identify them and become aware of their rights.

The program at the Lado Girls’ Center was made interactive and activity-based. The importance of gender equality was explained to the girls through plays, group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and stories. Through these activities, the girls freely expressed their thoughts and learned how to assert themselves with self-respect. The program instilled in the girls the belief that they are second to none and can excel in every field.

This effort by the Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan is a significant step towards the holistic development of girls. Through the Equal Rights Program, the girls developed self-confidence, leadership skills, and a positive outlook. They are now more aware of their rights and are also developing the courage to speak out against discrimination. This program is essential not only for the girls but also for strengthening the spirit of equality and justice in society.

Overall, this Equal Rights Program organized at the Lado Girls’ Center has proven to be an impactful initiative towards gender equality. The continuous organization of such programs will provide girls with equal opportunities, secure their future, and contribute significantly to the creation of an equal, empowered, and just society.

  • The Foundation of Rural Women’s Empowerment: Bank Linkage Programs

A group of women of various ages gathered together in front of a building, some holding children. They are dressed in colorful traditional attire, and a sign in front of them indicates a program related to women's self-help groups.

    Dear Reader Namaste!

    Many Greetings from RSKS India….

RSKS India organized a bank linkage program for women in self-help groups (SHGs) in rural areas. The main objective of this initiative was to empower women financially by connecting them to the banking system and enhancing their savings and income-generating capabilities. In the rural context, bank linkage provides a strong foundation for women’s self-reliance, enabling them to plan for a better future.

Under this program, women received detailed information on opening individual and group bank accounts, regular saving, maintaining accurate records of account transactions, and the process of obtaining loans from banks. They were also informed about how timely loan repayment strengthens their creditworthiness and can lead to greater access to financial services in the future. Information on digital banking, ATMs, mobile banking, and government schemes played a crucial role in connecting women with modern banking practices.

This program by RSKS India proved to be a gateway to new opportunities for rural women. Through bank linkage, women can access loans for self-employment, animal husbandry, agriculture-based activities, small businesses, and cottage industries. This not only increases their income but also empowers them to make informed economic decisions. Due to their connection with banks, women are now able to easily access savings, insurance, pensions, and government assistance schemes.

The program also had a positive impact on the solidarity of the women’s self-help groups. Working through the groups fostered mutual cooperation, discipline, and leadership skills among the women. They are now able to plan and effectively implement their group’s economic activities independently. This has boosted their confidence, and they are gaining recognition as empowered women in their communities.

Overall, RSKS India’s bank linkage program is a commendable effort towards strengthening rural women’s self-help groups economically. The continued implementation of such programs will improve the living standards of rural women, develop their income sources, and enable them to play a significant role in building a self-reliant India.

  • Livestock farming for self-reliance: A new direction for self-employment.

A woman in a patterned dress and headscarf feeding goats in a rural farm setting with trees and a blue wall in the background.

    Dear Reader Namaste!

    Many Greetings from RSKS India….

The Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan organized a special training program on animal husbandry for women’s self-help groups (SHGs) in rural areas. The objective of this program was to empower rural women, develop sustainable sources of income for them, and integrate modern and scientific knowledge with traditional livelihoods. Animal husbandry is a business that can be started with low investment and provides a continuous income, making it an ideal livelihood option for rural women.

During the training, women received detailed information on scientific methods of raising cows, buffaloes, goats, and poultry. Experts explained, in simple language, topics such as breed selection, balanced nutrition, vaccination, hygiene, disease identification and treatment, and the safe marketing of milk and other animal products. Practical guidance was also provided on how to practice low-cost animal husbandry, utilize local resources, and avail of government schemes and subsidies. The training was conducted in a participatory manner, allowing women to share their experiences and get their questions answered immediately.

This initiative by the Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan is a significant step towards the economic empowerment of rural women. Animal husbandry is not only a source of income but also enhances nutritional security, family financial stability, and social respect. Women can earn a regular income by selling milk, curd, ghee, eggs, and products from goat farming in the local market. This increases their savings, enables them to spend on their children’s education and health, and empowers them to participate more actively in decision-making.

This training program has also strengthened the spirit of mutual cooperation and collective entrepreneurship among the women’s self-help groups. Group-based animal husbandry reduces risk, and sharing profits builds confidence. The institute is committed to conducting similar training programs, providing follow-up guidance, and facilitating market linkages in the future to ensure that women’s incomes continue to grow and they become self-reliant. Overall, this animal husbandry training is an inspiring effort that brings positive change to the lives of rural women, offers high returns with low investment, and leads them towards self-reliance.
